  • Chemical Piping Systems

Duff Co. is pleased to offer Orion’s corrosion-resistant chemical piping systems. They have been proven in thousands of educational, medical, industrial, and research installations across North America and around the world. This full range of products features high-quality corrosive waste drainage and pure water piping products.

Chemical waste fittings are designed for dependable chemical resistance, ease of installation, joint strength, and leak-free drainage systems in the laboratory and underground. Includes fittings for acid waste handling and very aggressive chemicals that need tamper-proofing.

Floor drains and cleanouts designed for dependable chemical resistance, leak-free drainage, and convenient access for maintaining maximum flow. Includes corrosion resistant floor drains and cleanouts for finished floors that are suitable for acid waste handling

Chemical Waste Piping provides thermoplastic corrosive waste conveyance
options for use in the laboratory, return air plenums, and underground—in schedule 40 and schedule 80 wall thicknesses. Orion piping is designed to safely maintain flow while adding value and longevity to your chemical drainage projects.

Neutralization Tanks are used to alter the pH level of corrosive waste drainage—by dilution or chemical neutralization—so the treated effluent can be safely discharged into sanitary sewer systems in compliance with local regulations. A range of smaller point-of-use or larger centralized tanks are available.

Neutralization system monitoring helps ensure proper neutralization and dilution to minimize corrosion and environmental impacts of liquid discharges and help achieve compliance with local regulations. Orion’s neutralization system monitoring equipment enables continuous pH measuring and data recording, high tank liquid level detection, and leak detection. Monitoring equipment is compatible with your BAS.

High Purity Fittings for high purity piping are used in applications where
contaminants of any kind cannot be tolerated. This complete line of fittings is available in two virgin thermoplastic types (PP and PVDF) for high and ultra high purity applications. All Orion high purity piping products are assembled using thermal socket fusion to ensure a hermetically sealed system.

High Purity Laboratory Faucets are available in two virgin thermoplastic materials (PP and PVDF) for high and ultra high applications. We have a complete line of countertop and wall mounted laboratory faucets. Models with integral vacuum breakers and recirculating operation are also available.

Chemical Waste Drainage Systems convey corrosive waste drainage harmful
to sanitary waste piping materials. They often terminate at chemical neutralization tanks that alter the corrosive waste water pH to a safe level before it continues to the public sanitary drainage system.

No-Hub Fittings for Acid Waste Drainage Piping greatly simplify installation by eliminating the need for expensive tools such as torque wrenches, power
packs and special tightening tools. One easy-to-use, inexpensive pipe grooving tool and standard tool box hand tools are all that are needed to produce tight, leak-free joints every time. Thus, significant savings can be realized by specifying and installing Orion Polypropylene or PVDF drainage systems assembled with a mechanical joining system.

Rionfuse CF Polypropylene for Acid Waste Piping – Electrofusion pipe joining system for acid waste piping requires no clamps, uses the same grooved-end fittings as No-Hub couplings, and reduces labor costs by permitting the fusion of both sides of coupling at the same time

  • Grundfos NBS Pumps

    Split-Coupled End-Suction Pump

Grundfos’ new N-Series pumps are available in three different end-suction models: the frame-mounted NK, close-coupled NB and split-coupled NBS.

    • No couplings to align!
    • Incorporated motor drive!
    • Easy seal change that eliminates the need to remove the pump from the piping!

With industry-leading efficiencies that future-proof the pumps against government efficiency regulations, the NBS is designed to make installation faster, improve efficiency and reliability, and be easier to service throughout the pump’s life.

The NBS features a footprint up to 35% smaller, a lifetime guarantee, back-pull out design, and a new hard-faced seal that improves reliability and reduces servicing costs.

    Installation

    • No baseplate or grouting required reducing installation costs
    • No alignment required between the pump and motor with our Lifetime Alignment Guarantee — eliminating laser alignment costs and reducing installation time
    • Optimized, space-saving design has up to a 35% smaller footprint compared to traditional frame-mounted design pumps
    • Top centerline discharge design allows for self-venting and more compact piping designs

    Efficiency and Reliability

    • Industry leading efficiencies you can count on, because of advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
    • New Silicon Carbide (SiC) / Silicon Carbide (SiC) hard faced seal’s robust design offers increased temperature range, better abrasives handling and longer life versus standard designs (standard on all N-Series pumps)
    • Backed by our Lifetime Alignment Guarantee so you never have to worry about undue wear and tear on mechanical seals, bearings and energy losses due to misalignment
    • Optimized, stainless-steel impeller design increases efficiency and reduces NPSH required
    • Balanced impellers reduce noise and vibration for quiet operation and prolong seal and bearing life
    • 4″ and above models have a internal dual-volute design for increased efficiency, lower life-cycle costs and prolonged seal and bearing life
    • Integrally cast diffuser vane reduces turbulence

    Serviceability

    • Foot-mounted volute for increased pump stability
    • Spacer-coupling design allows for back pull-out and easy access to mechanical seal without removing the motor or disturbing piping

    Applications

    • HVAC (Cooling/Heating)
    • District Energy
    • Industrial
    • Water Utility
